Verse of the Year

Make me know your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

New Babies and Dentist Appointments

Don't get excited... its not MY new baby.  My friend, Katie, had her baby yesterday morning!  Yay!  Owen finally came and 2 days before his due date, too!  Although, Mommy's opinion of his due date was different than the doctors, so they were ready!  LOL

Yesterday morning, we picked up Katie's older son, Aiden, who is also Gabriel's best friend, and we are keeping him until someone from Katie or Zach's family can come.  We're thinking that is later today, but we'll see.  People have jobs and well... I don't!  So, Katie, if you're reading this A. you should be resting! B. I can keep Aiden as long as I need to!  ;)

After we picked him up, Gabriel and I had dentist appointments.  I hadn't been in about 6 years.  Ya... I know.  But I was single and didn't have dental coverage.  However, I had no cavities and they were really impressed by how little build up I had!  Ha!  I guess I just have good teeth!  ;)

Gabriel was so cute when it was his turn.  They "saved" a couple of my teeth to clean and waited until he was on my lap.  Then they finished my teeth and he watched.  He was SO curious that he put his hands on my chest and crawled right up, put his face almost in the way to check what the hygienist was doing to Mommy!  The hygienest was very good and let him look all he wanted and offered to let him touch her "tooth tickler".

He said "no." and I thought we were screwed.  Then he turned to her, said please, opened wide and tilted his head over to her.  So she started cleaning!  LOL  Then we gave him "Mr. Sucky", the thing that sucks the toothpaste and water out of your mouth.  He thought that was just the coolest thing he'd ever seen!  He would suck on it for a minute and then he would hold his mouth out for her to clean a tooth or 2.  Then he would use Mr. Sucky.  It was very cute!  He tried to share with Aiden, who was watching.  We drew the line there.  LOL

It was a very successful first visit, all in all.  He got a new toothbrush, toothpaste and a sugar-free sucker.  He loved it!  Aiden got some of everything too, so that he wouldn't feel left out.  They were so cute!!

For those of you wondering what I did with an extra 2 year old, let alone my own, while I got my teeth cleaned!  Sheryl, of course!  She's our American Express!  We don't leave home without her!  LOL
