Verse of the Year

Make me know your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

Weekend Update

We had a GREAT time at Camp of the Woods!  I haven't downloaded the pictures yet because I've been a slacker and sleeping in until Gabriel gets up.  Things like getting pictures downloaded are best done early in the morning before Gabriel wants my attention.  (Duh... I just realized I could be doing it now... Anywho!)

Unfortunately, we couldn't do a lot of the activities.  Because of my hip/knee problems, I can't ice skate, cross country ski, or do anything really athletic outside of a swimming pool.  So we walked around and took pictures of the beautiful snowy woods and frozen lake.  We took a horse drawn sleigh ride.  We ate AWESOME meals.  We heard a really great speaker.  We got time without the Boy because they had special childcare for the military.  We stared at each other wondering what we used to talk about before the Boy.  LOL

Gabriel said his frst real sentence at CotW.  He saw deer.  The deer ran away and he turned to me and said "The doggies ran away."  I mean, it was a little garbled with baby talk, but Wendy, Greg & Corbin knew that that's what he said too.  So I'm either not the only person who speaks Gabriel or he said it clearly.  I'm going with option 2.

How did Jerry's PT test go, you ask?  Ummmm.... he never took it.  Yes, that's right.  The people who were supposed to give him said PT test Friday morning did not show up.  Nice...  Jerry wasn't the only one there that was ticked.  Half of his NCOs that had run around trying to help him get Friday off to go to CotW were ticked too.  What are you going to do, though?  "They" have since decided not to make these guys take the PT test because they had one the week before.  "They" decided to just use the scores from that test.  (I hope I never find out who "they" are.  I might have to go tell them how inept "they" can be.)

Now we are back to getting ready for WLC.  Today he had to get up early and go have a physical.  He's pretty stressed out.  I hope this is over with soon.  I hope he gets through it o.k.
