Verse of the Year

Make me know your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.

5 Things

I read a lot of my friends' posts where they answer 5 questions or a list of things every week.  I thought "I'd like to do that." but then I never really feel like the questions of the ones they use will work for me.  Like, Kendra's starts with "What's outside your window?"  For about 6 months out of the year, my answer will be snow.  So that doesn't really work.  LOL

This morning I decided to come up with 5 questions that I will answer every week.

1. What Bible verse is on my heart for this week?
2. What am I grateful to the Lord for?
3. What am I praying about?  (If its too personal to me or someone else, I've always got Obama and military leaders to pray for!  Ha!)
4. What is something I am going to attempt to accomplish this week?
5. What is 1 thing that I'd like to teach Gabriel this week?

Those are the questions.  Here are this weeks answers.

1. What Bible verse is on my heart for this week?  Well, since I didn't get my Bible study done this morning I will have to think about this one for a minute.  I didn't get up and do my study before Gabriel because we have colds and I am a slacker when I'm sick.  (Ya... even more than when I'm not sick.  Amazing, huh?)  I could use Jeremiah 29:11 since its a favorite and 1 that is on my heart all of the time.  Especially since we joined the Army!

2.  Today I am grateful that our biggest health concern is colds.  We all have it and are miserable, but still... it could be so much worse!

3.  This week I will be praying for friends.  Some have big decisions coming up.   Some are moving.  Some are having surgery.  So friends.

4.  This week I am going to attempt to accomplish staying productive when I will really want to lay down all week and let this cold win.

5.  I'd like to teach Gabriel not to throw things when he's mad this week.  We'll see how that goes, though.  That might be my answer every week for a while!

Everyone have a great Monday!

  1. Well, until the maintenance guy gets the freaking porch roof moved, mine is going to say that the all I can see is the top of the dirty, gross, half-fallen roof instead of my beautiful back yard. :)
