Verse of the Year

Make me know your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; For You I wait all the day.
Psalm 25:4-5

5 Things...

Yep... still not so good at keeping up with the 5 Things lately... I suck, I know.
1. What Bible verse is on my heart for this week?

Psalm 100.... all of it!  We had a disappointing week last week.  I really, really thought I was pregnant... but I'm not.  We really, really thought that Jerry's Promotion Board exprience was going to go well, but it didn't.  One of those weeks.  Sunday's sermon was based on Psalm 100 and it was just what I needed.

2. What am I grateful to the Lord for?

His plan.  It always works out better than mine, so I'm just going to stay focused on that.

3. What am I praying about? (If its too personal to me or someone else, I've always got Obama and military leaders to pray for! Ha!)

Our trip next week, how best to help a friend in need, money... duh... always money... lots of things.

4. What is something I am going to attempt to accomplish this week?

Getting ready to leave next week and not spending every waking moment touching my Crackberry.
5. What is 1 thing that I'd like to teach Gabriel this week?

To share.  He had a birthday this weekend and he didn't want to share.  I mean... it was his party and his new toys, but still.

Have a good week everyone!

  1. The way that worked for us when it came to teaching the kiddos to share, was letting them know that they didn't have to share their REALLY SUPER special toys. It worked really well. Or letting Grace decide which toys to pull out to play with when she had friends over... when they got in a tiff over a toy, all I had to do was remind Grace that these were the toys that SHE pulled to SHARE with HER friends...

  2. I give my kids a little window (though they're getting old enough now that they can probably start sucking it up a little more). The day they get a new item, they don't have to share it with their sibling, but the next day, sharing is required of them. I know it's different at a party when all the kids want to play with everything. It's just an idea!
